I receive a great deal of cause-related email.
I think, at this point, I see perhaps half a dozen appeals on my conscience, wallet, sensibilities, and political leanings every day. I’ve received five so far today. And I read the vast majority of them.
In some ways, I’m glad that I feel educated about things that are important to me. In others, it’s incredibly frustrating because it brings to light - every day - all sorts of things that I care about that I can’t support to the degree that I’d prefer. I’d love to give fifty bucks to each one when they ask, but that’s just not going to happen. Donating a few times a year is about all I can afford.
Not sure if there’s anything to be done for that. Hm.
